Message: “A Commitment to Hope // Belmont” from Pastor Rick Picariello

A message from the series “Finding Joy in God’s Gift of Rest.” As we have walked through our recent sermon series on the gift of rest, we have looked at what rest actually is and what it can look like in our lives. By looking at these two aspects, we can also realize that there can certainly be a tension between resting and doing. So how do we deal with this tension? How do we strive to rest as the Bible tells us to do?

On this last week of our sermon series, Finding Joy in the Midst of Rest, we can see how the Word guides us into three kinds of rest and how God teaches us the way to walk out each one in our own lives.

Message: “GO Spotlight // Selwyn Bodley // Belmont” from Selwyn Bodley

A message from the series “Global Outreach 2023.” This month we take time to focus on Global Outreach and understand why it is important to the heart of God. Jesus instructed believers to go and make disciples of all nations and to teach them of God’s love and commands. But what does that actually look like for us as the body of Christ? How can we as believers be a part of the great commission?

Some are called directly to the mission field while some are called to give support and to pray. But no matter our instruction to this call, we are all asked to serve God on His terms and not our own. We are all asked to be productive and give of ourselves sacrificially in some capacity. Listen in to this week’s sermon to learn more of how you can live out this part of God’s Word even if it’s outside of your comfort zone.

Message: “GO Spotlight // Gregg Detwiler // Belmont” from Gregg Detweiler

A message from the series “Global Outreach 2023.” This time of year, we get to enjoy many different aromas around us. The smell of the first pumpkin latte of the season, that fresh apple pie that just came out of the oven or the scent of the cinnamon spice candle you just lit. Many pleasing aromas surround us.

In the physical world, these pleasant scents add to our days and seasons. But what about on a spiritual level? It is vital to know what kind of fragrance we are giving off to those around us.

As we celebrate Global Outreach here at Mount Hope during the month of October, it is a good time to examine ourselves as to what kind of aroma we are giving off to others. The Bible clearly talks about this spiritual aroma and how we are to be the fragrance of Christ to those around us. Listen in to this week’s sermon to learn what God’s Word has to say about your spiritual fragrance and how you can reach others through it.

Message: “Work Matters: Pleasing God in Our Work // Belmont” from Pastor Brian Krogh

A message from the series “Work Matters: Pleasing God in Our Work.” What comes to mind when you hear the word “work”? Is it joy? Or is it something else? Recently at Mount Hope, we visited the sermon series, The Gift of Rest, and this month we are going to look at what is on the other side of that rest. Most of us have spent much of our time at a place called work. Whether you’re working for an employer at a job or working around the house for your family, we are all taking part in work.

So what does the Bible say about work? How do we connect our work during the week to what we hear on Sunday mornings?

Message: “The Gift of Work Part 1 // Burlington” from James Girouard

A message from the series “Work Matters: Pleasing God in Our Work.” As we began our new sermon series last week, it was established that we all take part in work in one way or another. Whether we are in an office, a classroom or in our home, we all have work to do and work that we are called to. As we continue on in the series, we continue to ask what the Bible says about our work. How did God actually demonstrate work to us, His very own image-bearers?

God’s Word clearly points to the places where we see God working and where we see Jesus working while He was here on earth. Throughout the scripture, from beginning to the end, His example is one to be followed. Listen in to this week’s sermon to understand more of how to see the work in front of us as a blessing and not a curse.
