This time of year, we get to enjoy many different aromas around us. The smell of the first pumpkin latte of the season, that fresh apple pie that just came out of the oven or the scent of the cinnamon spice candle you just lit. Many pleasing aromas surround us.
In the physical world, these pleasant scents add to our days and seasons. But what about on a spiritual level? It is vital to know what kind of fragrance we are giving off to those around us.
As we celebrate Global Outreach here at Mount Hope during the month of October, it is a good time to examine ourselves as to what kind of aroma we are giving off to others. The Bible clearly talks about this spiritual aroma and how we are to be the fragrance of Christ to those around us. Listen in to this week's sermon to learn what God's Word has to say about your spiritual fragrance and how you can reach others through it.
This month we take time to focus on Global Outreach and understand why it is important to the heart of God. Jesus instructed believers to go and make disciples of all nations and to teach them of God's love and commands. But what does that actually look like for us as the body of Christ? How can we as believers be a part of the great commission?
Some are called directly to the mission field while some are called to give support and to pray. But no matter our instruction to this call, we are all asked to serve God on His terms and not our own. We are all asked to be productive and give of ourselves sacrificially in some capacity. Listen in to this week's sermon to learn more of how you can live out this part of God's Word even if it's outside of your comfort zone.
